INGRAHAM/MERTZ RESIDENCE

Gently curving glass walls capture the Sedona views from this contemporary home perched on a ridgetop in the Village of Oak Creek. A circular courtyard on the south side is defined by a solar gain hallway in the main house, a guest casita, and a view terrace trellis. The courtyard gives both shelter and privacy and creates a safe haven for gardening. It also acts as a geometric alignment to the four directions, and as a spring point for the rest of the architecture based on golden mean proportions.
